If
your have been bitten by a dog in the State of
New Jersey,
you are entitled to compensation.
New Jersey
dog bites are governed by what is known as the New Jersey
Dog Bite Statute.
Unlike many
other state,
New Jersey
holds dog owners accountable when their dog bites someone
regardless of whether the dog had ever been vicious before.
But what happens
when you are bitten?
Owner’s of
dogs and other animals may still be liable under New Jersey
Law whether or not there was a prior bite.
Different rules
apply to different types of animals as well.
Accordingly, it is again,
significant and important to protect your rights, that you
have an attorney well versed in these areas and in the end,
knowledgeable, skillful, and capable of discerning the
important distinctions.
Riding or renting a horse from the stable, injuries on a farm
or apple orchard all have
different rules and statutory schemes applicable.
The New Jersey Legislature and
those of other States have applied laws that attempt to
confer immunity on owners of certain property for animal
induced injuries.
Knowing how to avoid the
application of these rules and fighting around them is
again, critical to protecting your rights.
For that reason, if your loved one has
ever been bitten by a dog, please contact the Law Office of
Lane M. Ferdinand.
